Thank you for sharing your excellent hard work of Christian scholarship. Your reasoning [love the infographics!] is strongly supported by Scripture and the good scholars you cite, IMHO. I'm glad to see this shared online again since it disappeared from that church site in Texas you are/were [?] affiliated with. You're not posting regularly, it seems, on Substack. Maybe on another platform?
Hi Sandra, Thank you for the kind words! I didn't think my postings on the Randolph website would be missed, but I'm increasingly pleased to see otherwise. Much of it was dated though and needed to be refreshed, but if things go as planned, I will update the still-relevent stuff by integrating it into the FBIS sub-stack rather than do it in some other place/way.
I was a teaching elder at Randolph for almost 30 years, but my wife and I moved to Kentucky in December 2024 to be with our daughter and grandkids. It was a tough choice, but it was time for us to be with them.
The sub-stack work is going slowly. I need to write six moderate-size books on each of the FBIS plus another on the whole model, and I keep getting pulled from one to the other. Plus,
I have a ton of material and sorting through that abundance is time-consuming.
The FBIS started as a way to simply organize 30 years of teaching material, but it turned out to be something that went way beyond our expectations.
I've not advertised the FBIS sub-stack, so it only has a couple of handfuls of subscribers, it's time for me to get the word out, so, pass it one to others if you like. And let me know if you have a particular question or interest you would like to see addressed.
